Kingfields Daycentre, Droitwich

My comments at the time:-
I have known Sammy for a some considerable time and I never cease to be amazed at what she gets up to. Today we see another string to her bow in the fundraising she is doing for the Kingfields Daycentre. Sammy has a knack of being able to see a problem, think of a way of fixing the problem, getting others involved, and that is often the hard bit. Mind you, I would find it difficult to say no to Sammy as well. She does not understand the phrase give up!.
Clearly the work of this centre is of vital importance and Sammy’s idea to buy a kitchen, no mean feat, will enhance the facilities here and will give those visiting a more valuable experience. I mentioned earlier Sammy has amazing tenacity for getting others involved, and due to Sammy’s persistence, it is my understanding that thanks should also go to, Lions Club, United charities, Asset Management Ltd, D.H.L. (chill chambers), The Robert Barker Trust, Droitwich Spa High School for the non uniform day and the late Graham Gopsill. A special vote of thanks should also go to Acorn Catering Company who discounted heavily to make the project possible and also delivered and gave a contribution. Theirs is truly a “community business” of the very best order . I know the whole Spencer family have taken a keen interest in the centre and I wish them and you every success for the future and a special congratulation to Sammy.
