December 3rd 6.30pm
Waterside Gardens, Evesham
Each year the Rotary Club organise a tree of light. Donations are made in memory of loved ones past and the proceeds are donated to local charities. This year, another record amount was collected amounting to many thousands of pounds. Each year also, a presentation evening is arranged and I was invited, along with the Mayor of Evesham Cllr Alan Booth, to switch on the tree lights.
In the picture with Alan and me, is Deputy President of Rotary, Patrick Staines and of course the tree.
This tree is the tallest tree of light in the UK, unless you know different!
TV weather girl, Shefali Oza, from BBC Midlands today, was also there to help with the countdown and give the forecast.
