December 19th 5.00pm
Memorial Hall, Old Street, Upton
Having met at the hall for mulled wine and mince pies, we joined a candle lit parade from the church to the main square
It was a bitterly a cold evening and Jack Frost had been around for some hours
The vicar encouraged carol singing
helped by pupils from Upton Primary School
and then the snow came
Chairman and Consort of Bromsgrove and Mayor of Redditch on the right, joined in the carol singing
Even Father Christmas arrived. After the service, the mayor showed us round the Memorial Hall, including the original cells in the basement, before we headed off home.
Time for a secret. The snow came from snow machines!
Santa, can I have one for Christmas please?
Great night, many thanks. Thank also for my Scottish Christmas present, very warming!
