We arrived in plenty of time, to be greeted by Cllr Paul Tuthill and Mrs Tuthill, get a drink and be shown to our front row seats.
The concert started with The Worcestershire Chamber Strings
A range of classical music, from Sibelius to Sharna Pyarelal, to Boyce, to Bach, to Warlock
to, Dag Wiren and finishing with St Paul’s Suite ‘Jig’ by Holst. Cllr Tuthill can be seen on the right, soaking up the magnificent sounds.
Pupils from the Dyson Perrins School are flanked by the His Right Worshipful, the Mayor of Worcester and myself. They performed a ballet and were superb.
The older students performed more contemporary dance routines
and the evening was rounded off with music from the excellent Chase School Jazz Band, which featured all sort of music, and even some jazz 🙂
A brilliant evening, showing just how good and varied Worcestershire talent can be.
