Malvern Hills Civic Service

Sunday April 18th 10.30am
Knighton-on-Teme Parish Rooms

We arrived in good time at the parish Rooms

to be led by Chairman Reg Farmer and processed the half mile or so with other members of the ‘chain gang’

to St Michael’s Church. We waited here a short time for those unable to process, to join the party before entering the church for the service.

Apparently, the church spires in this part of the world are square. I think  they are rather attractive.

As is the inside. The service, included well known hymns, a very appropriate sermon and readings, and was most enjoyable.

Following the service, Les our chauffeur, drove us the 6 miles or so to Cadmore Lodge, Berrington Green, Tenbury Wells for lunch.

The hotel patio overlooks a lovely lake

and with perfect spring weather this was an excellent venue.

And yes, after the formalities had finished, time to relax with chain gang chums in the sunshine, before the long journey home.
Lovely day, thank you very much
