April 21st 7.30pm
Harvington Village Hall, Village Street, Harvington
Cllr Clive Holt, County and District councillor for Harvington, suggested I came to the hall for their AGM as part of the ward visit request I made when I became chairman. I was pleased to accept, not only because it helped towards the ward target but because I was already aware of the amazing job being do by Chairman John Redman and his team, through the Wychavon Bursary Awards.
I arrive at the appointed hour and was met by John Redman, who gave me an extensive and informative tour of the hall. Work is continuing and you can see from the picture above, an extension is work in progress to the left front of the hall.
The inside of the hall is quite magnificent. Just about everything you can see in this picture is new or refurbished. Lower ceiling helps heat loss, air conditioning, yes air conditioning in a village hall, how cool (So to speak) is that. There are new rooms and a conservatory off the main building, so plenty of space no matter the requirement of the casual or long term hirer.
The kitchen with all mod cons.
Thank you for the invitation. A very enjoyable and informative visit.
