Chairman of Worcestershire Councty Council Civic Service

April 25th 3.30pm
St George’s Catholic Church, Sansome Walk, Worcester

We are having a holy, civic day today. Following on from our service in Hereford this morning, here we are now in Worcester. I rather like Proverbs 15:22 above.

Some of the civic heads that attended the service. unfortunately, at this point my camera battery ran out, so no more pictures from this afternoon’s service. Pity really, as the church is wonderful inside and has a fabulous hall attached, used for many community occasions. Excellent service, led by Father Brian McGinley. Readings by the Lord Lieutenant Mr Michael Brinton and Cllr John Cairns, Chairman of WCC, set the theme, picked up by the Archbishop of Birmingham, The Most Reverend Bernard Longley, in his sermon. Tea and cakes afterwards were just right.
