Chairman's Golf Day
April 30th all day
Ombersley Golf Club, Bishopswood Road, Lineholt, Ombersley, Droitwich
The final charity event in this years calendar was the golf day. Arranged by Geoff Carpenter of WDC environmental section, Geoff has been organising this annual event for some years. The golf club here are so accommodating and helpful, and the course so beautiful and forgiving, it seems Ombersley has now become the permanent fixture location.

It was a brilliant day and even the weather was kind to us. Well sort of. In the morning there was a 9 hole team Texas scramble, followed in the afternoon, by 18 hole team and individual stableford competitions. Throw in nearest the pin and longest drive competitions and a prize for the ‘longest walk’, there was plenty of sport to be had. Lunch and a 2 course carvery dinner were also provided, so every one was well fed into the bargain. I know everyone enjoyed the day and they stumped up an extra £216 for the raffle. Brilliant.
Thanks Ombersley Golf club for providing such excellent facilities, to Geoff for organising the whole tournament and all those who took part.
