Wonders of Wychavon Photographic Competition
From the magazine
‘VALE Magazine readers are being invited to help Wychavon Chairman Andrew Dyke promote the delights of the district in our special The Wonders of Wychavon photographic competition.
All you have to do is to take a photograph that shows off what’s best about living in Wychavon, and send it to us here at the Vale Magazine.
“It could be anything, from children dancing round a may pole to a market gardener on the land or a pleasure boat on the Avon,” says Andrew, who will judge the competition with Wendy, Vale Magazine Editor Lynne Powell and MD Ian Tustin.
The best month’s picture will be published in the Vale Magazine, and the judges will select two overall winners – in the adult and under 16 category – when Andrew’s Chairmanship ends next May.
A selection of photographs will be put on show in Wychavon’s Civic Centre, and on Andrew’s website.
“The photographs will show everyone what a great place we live in, and will also publicise my charities – Evesham Shopmobility, Pershore Youth Centre and the Droitwich Canals Trust – which people can donate to by sending a cheque made out to Wychavon District Council,” adds Andrew, who kicks off the competition with his own photo of ???
Readers can start sending in their entries now, and keep them coming until May. Please address entries to The Wonders of Wychavon and include your full name, address and daytime contact number. Entrants aged 16 and under must also add their parents or guardians’ permission and details.
The winners will get an invitation to Andrew and Wendy’s end of year civic celebrations, which will, fittingly, include a river boat trip.
